The flop isn’t dangerous – no flushes, no straights. Perfect for slow playing.
The chances of being beaten with trips on the flop are very slim. He has the second nuts on the flop (the nuts being A A).
If he thought he was about to be outdrawn he should shut down the hand immediately and throw a big bet in, but there is no obvious hands which beat trips here.
Other than Gus having A A or Q Q which is very low odds, Seidel knew he was ahead.
The hand played itself really.

On the flop and the turn, Seidel would play AT LEAST A-8, A-4, or AK the same way.
7 hands (AA 1way, 88 3-ways, 44 3-ways) that give Seidel a set.
12 hands (A8 & A4 6 ways) that give Seidel lower 2-pair.
8 ways to have AK.
Most likely Seidel DOESN’T have a set.
Add in pot odds and you would NEVER lay top two pair down on the turn to that kind of bet based on the math. You would have to have some kind of killer tell.
