Phil is a tournament poker no limit holdem genuis however he is a flat out ass. He deserves everything he gets, both positive and negative. And any time Mike the Motuh tells anyone esp Phil that he is way out of line….it is purely priceless
Your right. Totally agree with you. I just have been in situations like that as i am sure most player have been, and it is frusturating when you raise with premium cards and people call with trash, then they hit. You are correct in the congradulating part to. I am not a pro and still have much to learn, but i see what you are saying.
But it DIDN’T come out A T 2. He shouldn’t have called the preflop raise. I don’t think that’s in doubt. But once he saw the flop, he made the bet to make a small pair or a couple of overs go away. He figured (correctly) that he was in the lead but still beatable, so he made a move to end the hand.
Besides, Phil’s gotta realize that the best thing to do is congratulate him on the play. If Phil does that, then he KEEPS making that play, and in the long run, Phil ends up richer.
@robertschelly and definitionofill, I aagree with you. Phil has been cold clocked for his mouth. However, Phil is correct in that some donkey makes a horrible call and then he thinks that he made a good play. If the flop came out A 10 2, theat guy would have bet and Phil prolly would have raised and then everone would have said that homeboy was a dumbass for calling w 10 4. It is sad taht so many think that they are good card players and they are nothing more than gamblers hopping to hit.
This is just for show IMO. It’s his reputation…
